All prohibitions under the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on their Destruction are taken into account by this amendment of the Hazardous Substance Act. The user or supporter who undertakes an offence against the mentioned law with regard to the prohibitions under the Convention shall be subject to the same penalty as its principal offender. This penal legislation is also extended to any activity prohibited under the Convention undertaken anywhere by natural persons of Thai nationality.

This regulation prescribes as follows: 1. The Announcement of the Committee on Label No. 2 B.E. 2525 (1982) Labelling Requirements for Borax dated 11 February B.E.2525 (1982) and No. 4 B.E. 2526 (1983) Labelling Requirements for Borax dated 29 March B.E. 2526 (1983) are withdrawn. 2. Borax which is subject to label is a chemical substance of the formula Na2B4O7 or Na2B4O7.10H2O with the chemical names of Sodium borate, Disodium tetraborate of sodium pyroborate. 3. The label shall be in accordance with Clauses 1 to 3 of the Announcement of the Committee on the Label Concerning Characteristics of Labels Subject to the Labelling Control B.E.2541 (1998) dated 23 September B.E.2541 (1998) and shall also contain the following statements: (1) "Borax"; (2) Warning: "Dangerous, may cause kidney failure, prohibited to be used in food" in red letters larger than other letters".
